Once upon a time, over 20 years ago, the art of making espresso brought two hearts together – a vibrant Sicilian, Michele Aiello, and his captivating Greek-Cretan girlfriend, Loula. Their love story had a unique twist, as it brewed over the shared aroma of coffee – a tradition deeply rooted in their respective cultures.

Michele, hailing from Palermo, Sicily, had coffee in his veins. His family’s love for the rich, deep Italian espresso was as strong as the brew itself. Loula, on the other hand, grew up in a family from the beautiful island of Crete, Greece, where conversations flowed as freely as coffee from a percolator. Both their family heritages were steeped in an intense love for coffee, or ‘Caffe’ as they fondly called it.
